About Us

Dr. Kimberley Chase, DVM

Dr. Chase first came to Apple Tree Animal Hospital in 1992, when she realized veterinary medicine was her passion.  She worked with Dr. Furness through high school and college.  His mentorship during that time fueled her love of medicine, grew her knowledge and showed her what being a compassionate veterinarian was about.  Dr. Chase attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2004.

After graduation she returned to New Hampshire to begin her career with Dr. Mara at Central NH Animal Care.  In 2008 Dr. Chase took a position with Banfield in Salem NH.  For the next 10 years she helped establish that hospital and developed management skills. In 2012 she was named national Chief of Staff and 2017 she was awarded the national Medical Quality award.  During these years of growth Dr. Chase's dream was to come back to her first love, Apple Tree Animal Hospital.

In 2018 Dr. Furness contacted Dr. Chase and kept a promise he made years ago, he was retiring and wanted her to take over his hospital.  In January 2019 Dr. Chase's dream came true and she came back home to Apple Tree Animal Hospital.  She resides in Warner NH with Stanley and Bob, her two crazy labs and a wonderful husband.  Dr. Chase is passionate about providing high quality medicine and education for the community.

Christine McKenna, Practice Manager

Chris is our practice manager.  She came to Apple Tree in February of 2019.  She earned her Masters degree in mental health from Southern New Hampshire University.  Chris comes with years of management experience, after being a supervisor and director with previous employers.  She took some time away from work to stay at home and raise her two young sons.  Chris grew up on a farm and has always had a love for animals.  She currently has 4 dogs and hopes to add a couple of horses in the near future.  Chris lives in Warner with her husband and sons.  She enjoys hiking, going to Sunapee and spending time with her family.

She started with Dr. Chase in Salem, NH and enjoyed working with her so much she followed her up to Contoocook where she could be closer to the mountains and her new nephew. She particularly likes winning over the more fearful/aggressive dogs, but will leave the angry cats to Tiffany! She has a 3yr old Siberian Husky and an 8yr old German Shepherd at home who keep her very busy if not exercising them than cleaning up their fur!

Amy Cate

Receptionist

Amy started working for Apple Tree Animal Hospital in 2001. Her smiling face will be the first thing to greet you when you come through the front door. She just earned her title as crazy cat lady by adding a 4th kitty to her home. She also has a prickly friend to match her sassy personality named Hershey the hedgehog! In her spare time she enjoys long road trips to the beach and spending time with her two sons.

Maegan Raynard

Receptionist

Maegan is our receptionist here at Apple Tree and has recently started in late May.  She's going into her junior year at Hopkinton High School and is looking forward to many more years of working here.

Bella

Apple Tree Mascot

Bella has been the Apple Tree mascot since 2010. She was brought in after a client found her frozen in a snow bank. We took her in and nursed her back to health. Bella lost an eye, the tips of her ears, the tip of her tail and the toes on her back paw. It didn’t take her long to secure a permanent position at the Apple Tree family!
